Some more tips on Borderlands are below. These tips are more specific and do not fall under the basic tips guide.
Again I would like to thank Kad.
They are a little bit all over the place but that does not mean that they are not very helpful.
-There are 160 missions total. 30 are main plot Missions, completing these will beat the game.
-In New Haven there is a secret weapons vendor across from the weapons vendor that is already there it opens after you have killed Krom and it will be almost directly behind you when standing in front of the weapons vendor. The weapons are generally better.
-In the second play through you can do the claptrap missions again. If you get a grenade mod as a reward reload and do it again until you get a backpack mod. Its a small chance but it is well worth it.
-Item drops are completely random but the more players you have in the game the better the equipment this includes stores.
-Don't waste your time looting chests and reloading the game. Killing end game beasts are way more effective and net you valuable proficiency experience. So loot wherever you want but then kill the last area enemies.
-Don't waste your time power leveling unless you have already beat the game. Not only does it take away from the fun but it is worthless because your weapons will still suck for your level and you will die and lose more money than you would if you were at the right level. Only power level if you have maxed out a char and want to play with the other chars. Cause then you can skim through the plot missions and get better weapons faster.
-Old Haven, Trash Coast and The Promontory are the best places for looting. Trash Coast is only good on your way to the hive otherwise get the fuck out unless your killing the mini bosses too for quest items on the second play through after you beat it.
-From the last tip. If you beat the second play through then you can go back and kill the bosses for the quest items you would have received. E.g. kill scar for T.K.s wave with a small chance of scar dropping it at a level 48 cap.
-Don't waste time pondering weapon choices and don't hold onto higher level weapons. The weapon you have been using for a while is usually just fine. At least you know what it does and many others that are better than it will soon fall too your feet. Then start nitpicking sell the weapons for money. Don't waste your money on anything with one really good exception and that is you haven't seen anything better in like 4 hours of game play. Unless its a shield or class mod they are so hard to find. Trust me you need serious money to buy the last level ammo upgrades and they are totally worth it.
-Many quest items will carry you through much of the game. For example a hunter using the elephant gun can go very far if he has the sniper upgrades. If you have it you should just use it and save the money. In the example above you don't have a scope but does it really matter if you one shot kill everything.
-Look at all the stats before you invest in a single tree. If you invest in a stat it is better to max it out. For example the soldier class has a refire skill which every 2 seconds will remove 1 second from the cooldown of your turret at level 1. At Level 5 its 5 seconds. Pretty good when combined with the level 5 cooldown reduction skill which reduce the cooldown time of the turret by 100% making it only 50 seconds instead of 100 seconds to throw it out. The two skill are in different trees but combining them makes a powerful duo causing your turret to comes out maybe every 20 seconds in a fire fight. I think that's pretty good.

Borderlands - Boss Tips
Below is some tips to take out some of the bosses in Borderlands.
I hope this helps, I did not write all of these and would like to pass some of the credit to Kad.
KILLING NINE-TOES(and his 3 balls)
I hope this helps, I did not write all of these and would like to pass some of the credit to Kad.
KILLING NINE-TOES(and his 3 balls)
-Attack him with your fastest firing, most accurate weapon
-kill him quick enough and the skags wont be a problem
-Take too long and u get attacked by 2 strongs skags and nine-toes... don't take too long
-Take too long and u get attacked by 2 strongs skags and nine-toes... don't take too long
KILLING SLEDGE
-He has a shot gun stay away from him.
-His Melee is very strong stay further away
-Go through the left Door
-Shoot him in the face for crits and a fast kill
-Static weapons or a static artifact will kill that hefty shield of his fast but after that change to a normal weapon or a fire weapon for the killing shots.
KILLING MAD MEL
-Drive in with a rocket runner, lock onto the outlanders and drive in circles trying to crush the non-vehicle units that spawn. Just keep Firing and then lock onto the next outlander vehicle.
-When you die and respawn as most people do hopefully u have killed all the walking lackeys just run to the edge of the ramp but don't jump down. Fire away and hide when your shield drops. Congrats you win.
KILLING KROM
-Just run to each safe point. I generally go left first and up and around.
-If he is in his turret then hide and kill his goombas.
-If not get up there and fire away just make sure u stay near a hiding spot just in case.
KILLING BARON FLYNT
-Pretty straight forward kill his goons.
-2 very powerful unique goons attack. One Melee and one range shoot them in the face to crits and stay away. You cant snipe them too well because they are fast so use an smg or revolver or rifle.
-Baron himself is a jerk. Strong shield and strong gun. Its a shotgun type weapon but he is easier to snipe than his unique goons are. If all else fails shoot him and pray hes dead before u bleed to death.

-Easiest boss around lots of health with weak rakks to boot. Shoot him in the eyes for crits
-If u get low on ammo collect some from the rakks.
-Stay away from it :)
- Rakk that will periodically swoop down at you, be on the lookout for this.
Mothrakk
-To kill the Mothrakk just jump in a machine gun runner, jump out, light the 3 torches, jump in, lock on and fire away while driving in circles. Everyone has problems with this guy but hes uber easy when you fight him as described above.
-There is also a nearby 'Catch A Ride' station that you can hide under for cover.
KILLING DESTROYER
-The large tentacles are pretty much useless don't worry about them.
-The smaller tentacles have a be bulbous area shoot it to kill them ASAP.
-When he flicks his tongue out shoot him in the mouth for crits.
-When he charges his eye run for cover
-The blue/purple tentacles will always kill you if you aren't careful

Borderlands - Basic Tips Guide
Hey all I thought I would chuck up a simple basic tips guide for Borderlands. Nothing too deep just some things that everyone can use whether you're a pro or not. We will be putting some more in depth guides for borderlands up later including a Skagzilla how to.
These are in no particular order.
These are in no particular order.
- Always keep an eye on your health, it can be very frustrating having to repeat half the quest again if you have died multiple times.
- Constantly use your special ability when suitable, you can gain a huge advantage over your opponents by using your special ability.
- Take advantage of the elemental damage that your weapons do, shock damage takes out shields incredibly quickly.
- Critical hits. Work out the critical spot on each of your enemy's and you will be taking them out so much quicker. The Badass creatures can be taken out a lot easier if you know where to shoot them.
- The markers that lead you to your quest objective are not always dead on accurate, in a lot of cases there is a small radius around the waypoint that needs to be searched. Sometimes when looking for hidden objectives you need to be creative, ex. Looking up on top of buildings and not just on the ground or in trash can.
- Broken Claptrap quests give +3 bag slot items. If you collect them all you will get 42 slots in total and an achievement.
- When you have spare cash make sure you upgrade and fill all your ammo allocations so if you run out ammo for your preferred weapon and aren't near a shop you can still defend yourself with something you have picked up. Keep buying ammo to complete the buying items challenge, as it is an easy and quite cheap way to get experience as well as keeping you well armed.
- As you complete missions check if you have any others in the area that you can complete do so you don't have to keep going back, this saves an incredible amount of time, you can finish multiple missions and register completion of all of them at the same time.
- There are quite literally millions of different guns in Borderlands. If you are not using a weapon all the time sell it to keep the slot open, as you progress in the game you will always pick up something to equal or better it and there is a experience challenge for selling items as well.
- Sometimes more powerful weapons are not better, reload speed and rate of fire count for a lot and the more bullets you can fire the more damage you can do.
- You can take cars through the portal areas. This took a surprising amount of time to work out...
- Every time you restart the game, any lockers/bins/toilets etc are filled backup with cash/ammo. This also goes for the major bosses, if you want to get some good rare items or just some extra xp this works well.
Thanks to everyone who else who helped accumulate the list. I will add to it more and more as I think of new ones.
